Price Scores 15 for Sandburg Men in Loss to Kougars

GALESBURG — Atem Agot (East Moline, Ill./United Township) collected his sixth double-double of the season and Eric Price (Galesburg, Ill./Galesburg) nearly matched his season-high in scoring, but Kishwaukee was able to hold off the Carl Sandburg College men’s basketball team 75-62 on Thursday at John M. Lewis Gymnasium.

KEY MOMENTS
• The Chargers (13-9, 2-3) trailed by as many as 12 points in the first half but closed to with 40-36 early in the second half after a 13-4 stretch.
• Sandburg pulled within 54-52 midway through the second half thanks to a 9-2 spurt that was capped by a Griffin Ronnebeck (East Moline, Ill./United Township) 3-pointer off a feed from Adam Cash (Pekin, Ill./Pekin). Kishwaukee, though, answered by scoring 13 of the next 16 to extend its last back to 67-55.

SANDBURG STANDOUT
Price scored a team-leading 15 points for the Chargers on 7-of-11 shooting. The freshman also grabbed seven rebounds, collected three steals and had a block and an assist. He finished a point away from tying his season-high of 16 points Dec. 8 against Lincoln Land.
